ASW lines up 2 Vendor sessions you can`t afford to miss

Though interactive sessions are an integral part of all the sourcing events, many of them lack in vision, approach and relevance, but Apparel Sourcing Week 2019 has curated special sessions that are not only worthwhile but are also panelled by industry experts of repute.
As South-east Asia’s leading B2B media platform dedicated to apparel manufacturing/sourcing sectors of India, Bangladesh and Vietnam and with more than 20-years experience as a ‘knowledge sharing’ domain with deep understanding and insightful penetration into the textile and garment industry focusing on ‘Everything Sourcing’, Apparel Resources has eventually come up with its much-awaited Apparel Sourcing Week 2019, which has been designed to address each and every issue pertaining to sourcing. As such, we are proud to announce that our interactive sessions would be an enriching experience that would open new doors of opportunity for you in the exciting Indian fashion retail market.
No matter whether you are an exporter, brand, buying entity or a trend forecaster, our power-packed series of Vendor sessions is what you have been waiting for… Rest assured, none of our interactive sessions will fail to live up to your expectations, and that’s our promise!
Day-1 will host a vendor session titled Requirements of Sourcing for Indian Retail by Reliance Trends to be conducted by Rajesh Lalla, VP Sourcing- Reliance Trends, between 15:35 pm – 16:40 pm. Rajesh has over 20 years of experience in sourcing, working with some of the best names in export and retail side of business. His understanding of vendor development and supply chain management is noteworthy.
Reliance Trends Ltd, the apparel & accessory specialty format of the Reliance Industries Limited (RIL), is India`s largest private sector company, which was conceived with a vision to deliver fashion, selection and quality of products and experience at great prices to its consumers. Reliance Trends has more than 300 stores across the length and breadth of the country. With presence in more than 160 cities, Reliance Trends today is India’s largest fashion destination, selling 2 lakh garments a day!
The second day will witness a vendor session titled Requirements of Sourcing for Indian Retail by Myntra - Jabong India. Scheduled to be held between 11:00 am -12:00 am, Neetu Jotwani, Vice President - Sourcing and Product Development, Myntra will conduct the workshop. This workshop is designed to put forth requirements that Myntra is looking for in a vendor and will also exchange ideas on product categories and other parameters that influence decision making when placing orders such as reduced cycle time, continuous quality improvements, etc.
It is to be noted that Myntra operates as a standalone brand under Flipkart ownership, focusing primarily on ‘fashion-conscious’ consumers. Myntra’s portfolio includes about 1,50,000 products of over 1,000 brands, with a distribution area of around 9,000 pin codes in India. The online giant has exclusive sourcing rights for many of the brands on its platform including celebrity brands besides having the rights to manage Esprit Holdings's 15 offline stores in India.
