ASW 2020 announced!

150 manufacturers from Asia to display for international and Indian retail market
The wait for details of ASW ’20 is over!

Apparel Resources, the organiser of the show, has announced the dates of its next show and the team is geared up for a bigger and more comprehensive event. The second edition of the Apparel Sourcing Week will be in line with the benchmarks set in the earlier edition, but on a larger scale. The vision is to create ASW as a Go-To Sourcing Platform for all retailers and brands from around the world looking for premium manufacturers from Asia.
The show will open its doors to buyers and business visitors on 20th February 2020 at Sheraton Grand, Bengaluru, India. The event has been expanded in many ways; from a two-day 30 exhibitors’ show, ASW ’20 has grown to see 100 manufacturers from India, Bangladesh, Vietnam, Sri Lanka and China, display their latest collections for three exciting days filled with business opportunities, knowledge sharing and intense networking in an inspiring and motivating environment.
In addition to the garment exhibition, ASW ’20 will also feature a specially designed ‘Resource Section’ wherein 50 manufacturers/suppliers of Fabric and Accessories from South East Asia will showcase their best collections to the visitors and exhibitors alike to visualise and plan future assortments. “The event is designed to appeal not only to hardcore sourcing teams but also to merchandisers, designers and influencers, all of whom are integral to the business of fashion,” says Mayank Mohindra, CEO, ASW.
The visitation profile of the upcoming event has also been expanded and will now see buyers from traditional markets like USA and Europe, besides Indian and international retailers/brands working in the Indian market, as also sourcing teams from the non-traditional markets, where AR believes lies the future of retail like China, Japan and Australia.
With expanded base, 10,000+ visitors representing various brands, retailers and buying offices are expected to attend the show from around the world. An international buyer’s program has specially been created to invite and host 200 international buyer delegates.
The show has been thoughtfully planned to cover two weekdays and a weekend so that visitors can comfortably attend the show. Also, since a lot of panel discussions, workshops and open house sessions will be conducted during the three-day period, the extended day will allow the exhibitors and visitors to attend the activities planned besides spending quality time at the exhibition area.
The focus on knowledge and networking will continue with more engaging activities. ASW ’20 will host 6 Seminars, 6 Workshops, 8 Open House forums, 4 Vendor meets, besides numerous networking opportunities, during the three-days.
The multiple networking opportunities over breakfast, lunch and dinner are curated to ensure that the decision makers from the Indian and international retail industry wine and dine with the top manufacturers from Asia. It is a fact that the best businesses happen when people meet informally as it allows people to build relationship of mutual trust which comes from better understanding.
It is not all business at ASW ’20 and interventions to unwind after a day of intense interaction are also on the cards. Acknowledging that it is necessary to relax your mind and rejuvenate your senses in order to perform optimally, ASW ’20 has many activities and special events planned that include yoga and meditation classes every day, Golf Tournament, post event retail shopping tour, trend/design inspiration tour and a tour to the vineyard in Bengaluru.
The effort is to raise the bar and engage participants in a milieu of interesting activities that add to the experience, while conducting serious business. See you all at ASW ’20 in February!
