Time flies; looking back it seems just the other day we came up with our inaugural edition of Apparel Sourcing Week 2019 and now we are all geared up to present to you the much-awaited 2020 edition of the sourcing event. |
If Bengaluru remains the only constant from the last edition, this time around it’s going to be bigger, better and much more opulent. To be held on 20,21,22 February 2020, we have not only increased the duration of the show from two to three days considering the overwhelming response from the participants and visitors alike, we have also chosen the iconic Sheraton Grand Bengaluru Whitefield Hotel & Convention Center as the venue for Apparel Sourcing Week 2020. Apart from its world-class amenities, the venue offers 61,443 sq. ft. of meeting space, enough to accommodate all our distinguished patrons and valued visitors. |
Even in terms of exhibitors, the list of participants would be much bigger, which is growing with each passing day. The event will have around 80 compliant manufacturers from Asia showcasing their latest collections in a diverse range of products (Ladieswear, Suits, Lingerie, Athleisure, Kidswear, Outerwear, Denims, Jackets, Swimwear, etc.) in line with the vision to develop Apparel Sourcing Week as a Go-To Sourcing Platform for all retailers and brands looking for premium manufacturers from around the world. There are still 5 months to go and ASW 2020 already has many new names joining the platform and, by the time we wind up the registration process, their numbers would swell manifold over for sure. |
In the growing list of exhibitors, we are proud to announce the participation of manufacturing giants from Chittagong, Bangladesh - Intimate Apparels and BSA Apparels, besides last year’s exhibitor Pacific Jeans. Counted amongst the mainline and established pioneers in the Bangladesh garment sector, these 3 names have already confirmed their participation in ASW 2020, and are more than keen to display their product offerings this time around as well. |
While Intimate Apparels manufactures intimatewear for the international market at its factory in KEPZ Chittagong, the unit is backed by an exclusive design and development facility in Indonesia, sourcing office in Hong Kong that manages raw material from leading suppliers of China, Indonesia, Korea, Taiwan and Thailand, besides Bangladesh. BSA Apparels is known for its shirts and kidswear and has recently undergone a corporate transition to be more responsive to market needs and manufactures a wider product range. Both these companies are very excited to be participating at ASW for the first time. |
Pacific Jeans, which for the first time ever participated at a fair outside Europe at the last ASW, is one of the largest groups in Bangladesh and among the leaders in the denim market especially with regard to producing sustainable and innovative denim products. The denim connoisseur has 5 production units across Bangladesh, annually producing 30 million pieces of world-class denim bottoms with an annual turnover of US $ 400 million. The company has set up its own product development lab - Pacific Jeans Innovation Centre or PJIC that works in close collaboration with the leading fashion designers of premium denim brands from USA, Europe and Japan, to regularly come up with value-added innovations. |
Apart from the garment manufacturers, this time around, 50 manufacturers/suppliers of fabrics and accessories, will also display their latest collections for the visitors and exhibitors to visualise and plan future assortments. |
Add to that the much-awaited networking opportunities through multiple networking platforms to bring together the decision makers from the Indian and international retail industry and the top manufacturers from Asia. That’s not all, ASW 2020 like its previous edition, will also have 6 seminars, 6 workshops and 4 open house discussions, focusing on knowledge dissemination through stimulating debates and thought-provoking forums, encapsulating new and current topics and bigger panel of experts. |
Overall, ASW ’20 will be much more extensive and interactive that would provide an opportune time and place to meet and negotiate deals with not only decision makers of Indian retailers and brands but also the international retailers and brands. |
Apparel Sourcing Week 2024, a two-days Sourcing Show not only provides the Asian manufacturers a platform to showcase their products & manufacturing capabilities to the Brands & Retailers from all over the world including India, but also extends them a chance to attend the multiple seminars (headed by industry experts), workshops, open-house discussions and networking opportunities organised during these three days, which would help the manufacturers get a better understanding of Indian and International Retail and evolving dynamics of sourcing in various markets and retail formats.
