More apparel manufacturers sign in to be a part of ASW 2019

With just over a month away from the much-anticipated Apparel Sourcing Week ’19, garment exporters from Bangladesh are rushing to be a part of the event. They are soon realising that there cannot be a better place than this to showcase the finest of their apparel collections and also to explore the vast Indian retail market. The palatial ITC Gardenia in Bengaluru, which will host the inaugural edition of the Apparel Sourcing Week, India on 15th and 16th March 2019, will give all the apparel exporters an opportunity to experience the hospitality of a niche networking platform. The latest to register for participation in this premier show are Standard Group, Pakiza Knit Composite and Anzir Apparels.
Standard Group, which holds the distinction of being one of the longest running and respected garment manufacturers in Bangladesh, is excited to be a part of this 2-day exhibition as it gives them the ideal opportunity to explore and enter the booming Indian retail market with a credible platform. The group, which will be displaying the best of their woven casual bottoms, also has a big sweater production facility and their own in-house garment washing, printing, embroidery, apparel design, garment testing and various accessories’ production facilities. Established in 1984, the Standard Group today has 19 factories and generates US $ 418 million annually, and with a prospective eye on Indian retail, it is looking forward to the Apparel Sourcing Week for its future expansion plans.
Pakiza Knit Composite, one of the 11 sister companies of the Pakiza Group and a quality player in the knitted segment, will also mark its presence at the most awaited event of the year. The company will be displaying the latest and trendy collections of its products that range from T-shirts, tanks, polos and pyjamas to jackets, leggings and knitted kidswear. Though Pakiza Knit Composite, which has an annual turnover of US $ 24 million, is currently not exporting to India, it is confident that the Apparel Sourcing Week will help it understand and expand its reach in India in 2019. In less than five years of its establishment, the Pakiza Group is today synonymous with quality and timely production, working with clients like NKD, Pep&Co, OVS, NewYorker and Scanwear among others.
Anzir Apparels, which has over the years, made a name for itself in manufacturing sweaters, is keen to be at ASW ’19 so as to display its new sweater collections. Though the firm is not presently exporting to India, it is confident that Apparel Sourcing Week will serve as a viable window for exporters like it to know and explore the retail structure of Indian market. The company currently has one factory and produces a yearly revenue of US $ 25 million. Accompanying Anzir Apparels will be ThreadMills which supports the business development operations of the company.
With different product categories and distinct strengths, all the exhibitors at Apparel Sourcing Week will have something for every retailer and brand that visit the two-day sourcing fair. As the organisers of ASW gear up for D-day, the exhibitors too are excited seeing the plethora of possibilities. Heightening the overall enthusiasm are a growing list of visitors registering for passes.
